as promised...

So you have been waiting for some trekking pics and here I am to deliver. my computer is still not working well as far as pictures so i have to kind of go in a round about way to post these...still, i hope you enjoy!


through the harvest fields of wheat...


the girls i was with--mijung and joanne. here we are with one of our porters--on his back is a bag full of books!
we stayed in a village with a church of 45--here we are with the patsor's wife and one of the older members of the churchoften along the path kids would find us and would want to buy books...here joanne stops to sell a few to some interested children
also often along the path we would find pictures of idols for people to stop and worship...

one day we stopped to rest and eat on the road...it seemed like a good idea to set out the books for people to come and see while we waited :) tapaai kitaab kinnehunchha?? you want to buy a book?

we crossed many rivers and streams. this was a typical bridge to cross!
here is one of the nicer homes we stayed in. the family was warm and welcoming and took good care of us.here is a typical Nepali family--parents, kids, grandparents, all living together. this family was also wonderful!

of course, there are many more where these came from, but here is a taste. praise you Lord for the beauty of your creation and your faithfulness while we were out trekking!
