here comes the bride...

this weekend i got to go to my counsin kelly's wedding in Tampa. our family does not get together that often so it was a chance to see some people from my dad's side, some of the them for the first time in almost 3 years. I was the Torell cousin representative since our family is so spread out, it is hard for us all to be in one place together. I was glad I could be there though, it was a fun quick trip!

kelly and adam are both well into their careers so they went all out for this thing--it was at a beautiful hotel right on the bay, renovated from the 1800s (i think?). my dad did the ceremony and he did a great job! everything was beautiful and elegant, especially the bride in her gorgeous dress!! with about 200 guests, there was lots of eating, dancing, and good times goin on...

the 12 piece band they got for dancing was sooo good! my aunt got my mom out on the dance floor and they had a good time--twirl that thang, mom ;)

adam and kelly with my dad and his sister mary ann, and brother mark. they are all siblings to kelly's dad who passed away several years ago.

it was good to connect with some family and be there for the special occasion. i kept getting "you're next" comments, to which i defered to my aunt's 3 older boys who are more than welcome to be next in the family. i mean come on--this is kelly's first marriage and she is well into her 30s.
