times change

it was an important week in Nepal last week. the monarchy officially came to a close as the king was asked to leave the palace and Nepal was declared a republic. a dynasty of 240 years is over.

seasons come and go. times change. one week from now i will be on a plane, travelling back to the states. i have been having fun with friends and beginning to say good-bye. good-byes are hard. change is always bittersweet.

really, these pictures are a collection of random things. mostly things i have found funny i guess, but also things i see everyday...

the saddest dog i have seen in Nepal. sooo many street dogs, but this one sleeps outside my church, which is also next to a bakery, and is always looking so sad. lately, some people in my church have been feeding it so my heart is happy.

mr. momo. all sort of girls said i would find my husband in nepal. well folks, here he is :)

there is one elephant in Kathamandu. he is from the local zoo. he walks around town as advertisement and also to find food. the other day, i finally saw him. it was fun.
